Not working with Kernal 5.19?

An update came, and I updated it as usually and I noticed that it was updated to kernel 5.19. After that I shutdown my PC, but when I restarted It was showing a black screen same as this guy’s (also asked a question on Parrot Community). I recovered to 5.18 again, but I am curious that what just happened, hope you people will help!

  • Parrot version in use

Parrot OS 5.1 (Electro Ara) x86_64*

  • Kernel version

5.18.0-14parrot1-amd64

Hello, Anyone please?

You may try to run an update and install kernel 6.0.0.-2, as it has been made available today - so far it works for me.

Luckily, Parrot developers have been wise enough to skip that buggy 5.19.12 kernel -

I tried to upgrade but this showed up instead of going to Parrot 6.

Any solution till now?

Hello Parrot Devs!?

Your problem is these drivers;

realtek-rtl8188eus-dkms

so purge them from the system and then update again;

sudo apt purge realtek-rtl8188eus-dkms
