Parrot 6 in Raspberry Pi 4b has no GUI

– Please Write here your help request –

I installed Parrot 6.0 Security Edition on a Raspberry Pi 4B, yet it always starts in a command prompt instead off booting into the Desktop GUI. Is there a step I’m missing or is it common? And how can you get a GUI? I followed something I found here:
sudo apt install parrot-desktop-mate
but it did nothing, as it says it’s already the newest version. Any help would be appreciated.

You most likely downloaded the Core edition. The security edition comes with the full GUI and it works fine for me on the same hardware. With the core version most tools would have to be installed by yourself and you only get to interact with them using the cli. I used it for some time before switching to the security edition myself as I came from the backtrack and Kali world from years ago
