Parrot OS Upgrade fail

I am currently having trouble with doing a simple upgrade from time to time on my parrot OS. I am currently getting these long messages in the process of upgrading. For example i am booting up the system log into terminator and inputting “Sudo parrot-upgrade” then i get this long list of errors:

Waiting for cache lock: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend. It is heWaiting for cache lock: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend. It is heWaiting for cache lock: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend. Its is held by process 4691 (apt)…121s and its on-going.

Close out all apt/Synaptic processes first:

sudo killall -9 apt

Then start your upgrade with:

sudo parrot-upgrade
