How to login as root user in Live USB?
I have created a bootable Parrot Security OS USB, but it is automatically logging in as Parrot Live user, that’s why I am unable to copy or move files/folders between different drives.

Please help me to fix this issue. I want to copy/move files using GUI in Parrot Security OS (Live USB only)

  • Parrot version in use (if you are not aware of it, open terminal and type cat /etc/os-release | grep VERSION):

Parrot Security OS version 5.0.1

  • Kernel version (if you are not aware of it, open terminal and type uname -r):

5.16.0-12parrot1-amd64

  • Logs/Terminal output (use pastebin or similar services):

  • Screenshots:

The options to create folder, move , paste are non-functional.

@Ritesh , have you tried “sudo su” from the terminal? It might prompt for a password and then you can work as the root user .
Screenshot has been attached for a clear understanding .

root

Thanks for your response.
But I had some different problem related to dual boot that’s why it was not working. After I have fixed it and it is working fine now.
