I forgot my password, how to change it?

I think my user password. The only one I wrote down during the installation.
You can reset it by holding shift at boot up, and booting to a terminal prompt and changing some init parameters.
Not for Parrot OS specifically, but same process as this;
as always, those who have access directly to the hardware can usually find a way!
