Problem logging in

When booting parrot the screen on my monitor always goes blank at the password screen and the monitor displays an out of display range message. If it type in the password unseen it will then boot into the desktop and I can see everything fine. I have tried other monitors and they work fine but the one monitor I want to use has this problem. Is it possible to change the resolution of the login screen to something my monitor can display?

What version of Parrot are you running? (include version (e.g. 4.6), edition(e.g. Home//KDE/OVA, etc.), and architecture (currently we only support amd64) 4.7

What method did you use to install Parrot? (Debian Standard / Debian GTK / parrot-experimental)
Installed from thumbdrive.
Configured to multiboot with other systems? (yes / no)
yes with windows 10
