Restore panel settings

Briefly describe your issue below:
I reset the panel by mistake.
How do I return to the same panel after installation?

What version of Parrot are you running? (include version (e.g. 4.6), edition(e.g. Home//KDE/OVA, etc.), and architecture (currently we only support amd64)
parrot 4.6
What method did you use to install Parrot? (Debian Standard / Debian GTK / parrot-experimental)

Configured to multiboot with other systems? (yes / no)

If the configuration wasn’t saved you cant.

it should be somewhere in /etc/skel/.config but i can’t make sure. Currently we are having so many default kde config so it is harder to find default mate

try replace /etc/skel/.config/dconf/user in your $HOME/.conf/dconf/user

mate-panel --reset will reset the panel to the default layout. You can find different preset layouts in /usr/share/mate-panel/layouts/

I think he wants our default panel config. For example: Mate monitor is a little hard to restore

I’ve tried digging and looking but cannot seem to find the files to restore the defaults after messing up the panel layout

  • how would I restore the default plasma kde panel layout?

Thanks

PS - I think I liked MATE better, but I figured I would give KDE a bit more time if I can get it straight
