screen suddenly blank

hi i was logged into my desktop mate when I was adjusting the brightness, suddenly my screen went dark and now I cant see anything once i log in.
I was able to get to tty3 terminal, but i dont actually know what to do once there to resolve the issue. Is there anyone here who might have insight to assist?

Hi @sherlock. I have previously used the brightnessctl command to set a display’s brightness. I think xrandr can be used as well.
