Switching from 4K to 1920x1080 shows a black screen

I have been running Parrot for quite a while as bare metal on my Lenovo 4K laptop and didn’t have any big issues with scaling until I tried to use Burp Suite and the scaling is making it so small it’s impossible to use.

Previously I tried to set the resolution to Full HD 1920x1080 as there were some small issues which I ignored, however whenever I do the screen just turns black.

I tried to fix the scaling and also change a bunch of setting but whatever I do any display resolution other than 4K turns the screen black.

Change it back to 4K and set HiDPI mode on!

find HiDPI mode in the menu;
system → control centre → mate tweak → windows

set HiDPI to ‘on’
