This interface Card-Name is not a wifi card. It doesn't support monitor mode

Hello,
I have bought a wifi adapter TL-722N, first when I bought it I checked via airgeddon that It was supporting monitor mode at that time. But now it is saying:

This interface Card-Name is not a wifi card. It doesn’t support monitor mode.

And also airgeddon is showing my wifi card as non-wifi card.

Mode: (Non wifi card)

It supports monitor mode that is confirmed by:

iw list

Supported interface modes:
* IBSS
* managed
* AP
* AP/VLAN
* monitor
* P2P-client
* P2P-GO
* P2P-device

And also when I do it using Airmon:

sudo airmon-ng start wlx1c61b41f9bd2

PHY Interface Driver Chipset
phy0 wlp0s20f3 iwlwifi 14.3 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (rev 20)
null wlx1c61b41f9bd2 r8188eu TP-Link TL-WN722N v2/v3 [Realtek RTL8188EUS]

Why it is showing null???

Hi @0ctothorpe

Does this tutorial help?

quick tip…

stopping Parrot from giving your wifi adapter ridiculously long names;

sudo ln -s /dev/null /etc/udev/rules.d/80-net-setup-link.rules

then reboot to take effect. (wifi adapter is now wlan0 again)

the long names makes sense if you have lots of network adapters like companies, less if you are on your own machine, and its less typing! :wink:
