My experience with Alfa AWUS1900 (RTL8814AU) :

Awesome!
The driver is downloadable from the repo.
The only “problem” (not a problem for me, but for some newbies) with that driver: airmon-ng not supported, it mean you need to set monitor mode manually, but everything is in the documentation.
(^ same for awus1200)

I am testing the same at the moment. Any power issues with yours (intermittent)?

Nothing, i use with usb 3.1

p.s.: awus1900 is not my daily interface, i use it just to well-known porpuses, without any issue

I do too and also have tried dac up 3.0 but may have a connection issue although it is difficult for it to get enough power I believe on any sort of extension usb powered and with the lights on (3 ft. Is this sounding similar to yours?
