im using parrot sec as my guest os, i’m trying to use my parrot network with my host os (windows 11) but it cant get an ip adress from the dhcp. how can i solve this?

  • Parrot version in use (if you are not aware of it, open terminal and type cat /etc/os-release | grep VERSION):
    N_ID=V5.2
  • Anonsurf running? (yes/no)

yes

  • Logs/Terminal output (use pastebin or similar services):

  • Screenshots:

At the moment, Parrot is ‘bridged’ to your windows network adapter, so sharing its IP
In the VM manager settings, you can usually configure a VM to get its own IP address via DHCP

Just a note here, if you need to use a VM for WiFi scanning, you will need a seperate WiFi adapter that can be ‘attached’ to Parrot, you cannot use a host machines WiFi card, it is already ‘in use’ by the Host OS
