so i am adding a PPTP vpn and a Openvpn connection to my Connections setting, i am successful in adding but it would never connect, i decided to import the openvpn as a config file but that too wouldnt connect.i downloaded my config file from www.vpnbook.com and i am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the config file.JUST HELP ME CONNECT TO A VPN USING PPTP OR OPENVPN

You are just saying that you cannot connect, but no other information than this.
Without you specifying the error none can get to know what you are into.
With this, refer some documentation or tutorials about connecting to can through openvpn.
(maybe protonvpn documentation might help u).

yes, It supports openvpn protocol!
its because i am not getting anything, No error code, No error message literally nothing.
- I click the connect button,
- loading icon pops
- it disappears
- nothing happens
Use command line to connect using openvpn
First do one thing check your config file by connecting through windows computer of its works there the we can work on fixing your parrot os
