Wicd on HPEliteBook840 doesnt show wifi networks

Briefly describe your issue below:

I’d installed last ParrotOS.
I would to switch from network manager to Wicd because nm is so tricky with wireless networks…
But when i uninstall network-manager, and install wicd… wireless network scan fails. No wifi essid network found.
But if i reinstall network manager, wicd and nm show all wireless essid list…
I read about broadcom problems on wicd scan… but it’s a intel wifi card.
Any suggestion??
why only wicd fails, but with nm both “wireless managers” lists all wifi networks?
Thanks!
Alex.

I hope, no more data needed

I’ve never found network-manager to be complicated but as a matter of fact it is quite solid at its job, wicd is/has not. It has not been updated in years and will barely if maintained at this point if at all. If the daemon is actually started, then maybe restart the service. It maybe a problem in wicd itself, as I said it is essentially no longer maintained.
