Wordlists in hashcat

Briefly describe your issue below:
how do i use the wordlists? ive put my file in the folder as it says . ran “hashcat [bla] comandv [bla] comand[bla] wordlist” then tryed a name of the worlist. then tried a few more things to no avail. so could you talk to me like im an idiot and explain how to use hashcat and wordlists to crack the file i got doing the pmkid attack?

What version of Parrot are you running? (include version, edition, and architecture)

Try creating your own hashes and cracking those first, until you get the grips of how hashcat works. Its fairly simple to do the basics, so shouldn’t take too long.
