Hi !
I freshly installed parrot 4.1 on my laptop and update + upgrad, it’s all ok but when i reboot or shutdown, it’s freezing.
I tried to install nvidia-driver but with no success, i stuck when it’s try to add kernel boot configuration, i type CTRL+Z to retry but i got dpkg problem.
OS : Parrot 4.1
Méthod to install : Debian standart (installer)
Configured to multiboot with other systems? No

Ciao!!! anche io ho installato tramite usb avviabile.Ho avuto il tuo stesso problema,ed ho insistito a reinstallare il sistema.La seconda volta che l’ho istallato ho provato a non fare gli aggiornamenti e quando ho spento e riavviato il pc tutto funzionava senza blocco di sistema. Logicamente secondo me c’è qualche cosa che non quadra con gli aggiornamenti. Riprovando ad aggiornare il sistema è andato di nuovo in tilt.Premetto dicendo che sino agli ultimi aggiornamenti non ho avuto mai problemi con parrot.

i have the same problem. After installing Parrot 4.3 everything seems to be ok.
However, the shutdown and the reboot does not work. I’ve tried
init 0,
shutdown -r,
shutdown -h,
and the menu system shutdown
The system always freezes.
Do you have an idea?

(My) problem solved!!!
My problem was the nouveou driver.
After installing the nvidia driver the system is running. No problems with reboot or shutdown and i can finally use the hashcat with gpu.
