Thanks for your reply.

Here’s my output. It’s long.

Nothing happened with grep -i audo but is it right reaction ?

Thanks for your time.

please make sure your user is on the group ‘‘audio’’ to check that simply run a terminal and enter groups
if the user is there,
once do
pulseaudio --kill
and pulseaudio --start and check if it fixes

@solo.nepal
Thanks but unfortunately there is still no sounds.
My terminal looks like below with the command you suggested.

┌─[tkr@tkr-30g6]─[~]

Thanks for your time.

Hi! I had the same sound issue, but I could fix it. Do you dualboot Parrot Sec OS along with Windows? If so, when switching from operating systems, always shutdown your pc before you start Parrot Sec.

By the way, if the above didn’t help, can you also post the contents of /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-libnfc.conf. You may have blacklisted it which was the case with me.

Thanks!

@be1807v
Thanks for your advice !
Sorry how do i do /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-libnfc.conf ?

I single boot Parrot btw. I erased whole SSD to install Parrot haha.

Thanks
Toshi

What also helps is like @solo.nepal said. Put this command in your pulseaudio --start --log-target=syslog startup applications.
To do so, open the menu (Windows-Key / Super-Key), search for Startup Applications, open it and click on add. Give it a name. Next copy and paste the following command: pulseaudio --start --log-target=syslog in the command section. Give it a description if would like to. Save it and simply shutdown your computer and restart it.

If that does not help either post the contents of /var/log/syslog.

Regards

To view the contents of /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-libnfc.conf.
Execute cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-libnfc.conf or cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and paste the output in here

Hi @Tosh !
Did something help? Do you need some more information?

@be1807v
Thanks ! I still don’t have the sound after pulseaudio configuration.

My output is here
✗]─[tkr@tkr-30g6]─[~]
└──╼ $cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-libnfc.conf
blacklist nfc
blacklist pn533
blacklist pn533_usb

Thanks

Tosh

A bit weird. Can you post the contents of /proc/asound/cards and /var/log/syslog? By the way are you sure pulseaudio is installed?

And almost forgot, you must add the --log-target=syslog flag when you start pulseaudio (pulseaudio --start) so everything gets logged (to view errors if there are any). Also run the command to start pulseaudio as a normal user (not the root user)

Regards

@be1807v
My output now is something like this. Second output is too long so I put a part of it here
pulseaudio is installed as well as attahed

Hi @Tosh ! Unfortunatly the log file is to short, I can’t see why it failed to detect your sound cards. You can upload the file I guess (I’m new here so I am not sure). Else, use grep to filter out the results. Something like cat /var/log/syslog | grep pulseaudio

Regards

Thanks @be1807v.

can you once do
sudo apt install --reinstall alsa-base pulseaudio
and then
sudo alsa force-reload
and reboot the pc and check if sound is working or not

please once do
sudo apt install pavucontrol
then open it just by typing
pavucontrol in the terminal
after that there is button same as of volume, it might be muted sometimes so, check that once

Thanks @solo.nepal here’s my screen shot.
I couldnt find the tab named volume but I put all volume max.
I still have no sound.

ok so can you do
sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel and chek if sounds work or not
if not workings lets reinstall the pulseaudio package with new configs

Thanks @solo.nepal. I did your command and reinstalled pulseaudio but still no sounds.
My output is like this but did I get it right ?
